Rapha Nocturne and Cycling Weekly partner to grow global business


The Rapha Nocturne Series and Cycling Weekly have announced a partnership that marks the start of a phase of international expansion plans for both.

The Rapha Nocturne London has been a fixture in the cycling calendar for over a decade. With the support of renowned British cycling brand Rapha, who supported the initial Smithfield Nocturne, promoters Face Partnership were able to announce plans to create a World Criterium Series earlier this month, starting with a race on the streets of Copenhagen.

Rapha founder and CEO Simon Mottram spoke about the grand plans for an international Nocturne series. “We are now in a number of different countries around the world, and most of our sales are international, so we really want to go to some of those key cities. Starting with Copenhagen later this summer, but then going to places in Australia, the US, all over Europe, maybe even Japan, and put together a proper global series of events where we can combine racing and riding.”

For their part, legendary title Cycling Weekly have their own plans for global expansion starting with changes to their website designed to reflect their growing international readership.

Rapha Nocturne London is less than two weeks away, with the first Copenhagen event scheduled for August.
